MINICAMP Mint Linen Sea Star Cushion

Coastal decor in a child’s room works best in small, quiet touches rather than a full seaside theme. This sea star cushion is one of those touches: soft mint linen, quilted along the lines of each point, and as much at home in a nursery or a child’s bedroom as in a Scandi-inspired living space.

Designed for both comfort and style, it’s filled with OEKO-TEX® certified PES fibre balls for lasting softness and gentle support. A matching tassel detail and flat-edge finish elevate the look, making it just as beautiful on a bed or sofa as it is in a teepee or reading nook. On a bed or a sofa it adds a cosy, beach-inspired note without tipping into a theme.

Shaped cushions can look like novelty pieces up close. This one does not, because the quilting follows the lines of the star and the linen has a soft, natural texture, so it reads as a considered piece of decor rather than a toy.

Mint is a gentle, slightly grey green that sits well with natural wood and cream, and a single star on a bed or in a teepee does more for a room than a pile of plain square cushions.

What age is this cushion suitable for?

It is a decorative cushion rather than a toy, and MINICAMP does not give it an age rating. It suits a nursery or child's room as styling, but keep it out of cots and baby sleeping spaces, and away from very young children who might pull at the tassel.

How big is the sea star cushion?

It measures 48 cm (18.9 in) in diameter, a good size for propping on a bed, a sofa arm or the floor of a teepee.

What is it made from?

The cover is 100% linen with a quilted finish, and it is filled with OEKO-TEX certified PES fibre balls, which MINICAMP describes as hypoallergenic.

Can I wash it?

Yes. MINICAMP's care advice is to machine wash it gently at 30°C, dry it flat and avoid tumble drying. Small marks can be spot cleaned with a mild detergent.

Is there a matching cushion?

The same sea star cushion is also available in rose, and both sit well with MINICAMP's linen sea shell cushions for a coastal corner.
