About our pushchairs, travel systems and trikes

A pram that only has to survive the school run is a different job to one that needs to fold into a car boot, carry two children at once, or hand over to a toddler who wants to do the pushing themselves. This range covers that whole spread: Roma's lightweight travel buggies and 3-wheel pram, the Gemini 2 double stroller for two, and Banwood's vintage-style trikes for when a child is ready for their own set of wheels.

Buggy boards, rain covers, sun shades and car seat adaptors are also here, for whichever pushchair is already doing the school run.

Choosing between a travel system, a 3-wheel pram and a double stroller

Compact travel buggies for everyday and holiday use

Three Roma models cover the lightweight end of the range. The Capsule3 weighs 6.7kg, folds small enough to be IATA cabin-approved for flights, and takes a lie-flat seat from birth up to 15kg. The Rizzo 2 weighs 5.9kg, reclines from around six months onward, and comes with a rain cover, padded liner, insect net and shopping basket included as standard. The Star folds down to 109 x 31 x 22cm on a lightweight aluminium frame, with a five-position recline that takes a child from newborn up to 22kg. All three are EN1888 approved and covered by a 12-month warranty.

The Roma Atlas: a 3-wheel pram for uneven ground

The Atlas is Roma's 3-wheel option, built for parents who want a lock-and-swivel front wheel for pavements, parks and gravel rather than a purely urban buggy. It takes a child from birth up to 15kg, comes with a rain cover and a reversible liner, and accepts Maxi-Cosi and Cybex infant car seats using the separate Roma Atlas car seat adaptors.

The Roma Gemini 2: one double stroller, two children

At 69cm wide, the Gemini 2 is built to clear a standard UK front door, folding down to 69 x 69 x 37cm for the car boot or the hallway. Both seats recline flat and take a child from newborn up to 22kg, with a magnetic harness on each seat and space for two carrycots if both children are newborns.

Trikes and buggy boards for the next stage

Banwood's vintage-style trikes are the next step once a child is ready to pedal rather than be pushed, and Roma's buggy boards let an older sibling ride alongside a pushchair instead of walking. See the full trikes range and the buggy boards range for sizing and colour options.

Pushchairs and Travel Systems: Frequently Asked Questions

What age is a travel system suitable from?

Every pushchair in this range is suitable from birth. The Atlas and Capsule3 take a child up to 15kg, the Star and Gemini 2 up to 22kg per seat, and the Rizzo 2 reclines fully for a newborn before adjusting as a baby grows. Check the individual product page for the exact weight limit and recommended car seat compatibility.

What's the difference between a 3-wheel pram and a travel system?

The Atlas is Roma's 3-wheel pram, with a lock-and-swivel front wheel suited to parks, pavements and uneven ground. The Capsule3, Rizzo 2 and Star are 4-wheel, umbrella-fold travel buggies built to be as light and compact as possible for cabin storage and car boots. The Gemini 2 is the double option, for two children at once.

Can I fit a car seat to a Roma pushchair?

Yes. The Roma Atlas takes Maxi-Cosi and Cybex infant car seats using the separate Roma Atlas car seat adaptors, and the Roma Vita/Moda Multi Car Seat Adaptors extend compatibility to Maxi-Cosi, Kiddy, Cybex and BeSafe car seats on the Vita and Moda travel systems. Check the adaptor listing for your specific pushchair before buying a car seat separately.

Do Roma pushchairs come with a rain cover?

Most do. The Rizzo 2 includes a rain cover, padded liner, insect net and shopping basket as standard, the Star includes a full rain cover and extendable hood, and the Atlas and Gemini 2 both include a rain cover and reversible liner. Separate rain covers, sun shades and insect nets are also sold individually for older Roma models.

Do you sell trikes and buggy boards as well as pushchairs?

Yes. Banwood's vintage-style trikes and Roma's buggy boards are both stocked alongside the pushchair range, for the stage after (or alongside) a pushchair. See the trikes collection and the buggy boards collection for the full range and current colours.
