A pram that only looks good in the catalogue photo tends to reveal itself fairly quickly on a wet Tuesday, once the fold has to happen one-handed in a car park with a toddler already halfway out of their coat.
The Atlas is Roma's first three-wheeled all-terrain pram, suitable from 3 months old and up to 15kg, with a lock and swivel front wheel for pavements, parks or anything less predictable underfoot. The seat liner is reversible, jet black on one side and plain black on the other, so the same pram can look completely different depending on the day. A magnetic five-point harness keeps a child secure without fiddly buckles, and the extendable 50+ UV protected hood covers naps in direct sun.
Folding it down is a one-handed job, the PU leather-look handle and bumper bar (one part for the carrycot stage, one for the seat unit) drop the whole thing to L88cm x W67cm x H35cm, or smaller still with the wheels and bumper bar removed. A large shopping basket and Roma's own integral footrest cover the practical side, and for parents who want to carry a newborn car seat instead of the carrycot, the Atlas takes Maxi-Cosi and Cybex seats using the Roma Atlas car seat adaptors, sold separately.
At 10.4kg it is light enough to lift into a boot without ceremony, and built to still be doing the school run in a few years, not just the first few months.
