Monio for Kids Blue Cotton Padded Nest Playmat

Babies spend much of their first year exploring at ground level, and the surface they do it on matters more than it first appears. The Monio for Kids Cotton Padded Nest Playmat has an inner play area of approximately 95cm and a raised edge of around 12cm, built from a 4cm foam base and a layer of silicone ball fill that gives way just enough without losing its shape. The round nest form gives younger babies a soft, defined edge to their play space while leaving enough room for tummy time, stretching, and the early movement that comes before crawling. Like any playmat, it is designed for supervised play. The removable 100% cotton cover unzips for washing and handles a 30-degree delicate cycle without tumble drying.

• Approx. 95cm inner play area and 115-120cm total diameter: a larger nest than the Linen and Velvet versions, with room for the full range of early floor play
• Approx. 12cm height with edge, over a 4cm foam base with silicone ball fill: firm enough to support, soft enough for tummy time and floor play
• 100% cotton outer cover: removable via zip and machine washable at 30°
• Round nest shape creates a soft, defined play boundary without restricting movement
• Suited to babies and toddlers from newborn through to the active crawling and toddler stage

• Inner diameter: approx. 95 cm
• Total diameter: approx. 115-120 cm
• Height with edge: approx. 12 cm
• Base thickness: approx. 4 cm
• Cover: 100% cotton
• Interior fill: foam + silicone balls
• Floor space needed: about 120 x 120 cm

1x Monio for Kids Cotton Padded Nest Playmat (outer cotton cover, foam base and silicone fill inner).

The cotton cover is removable using the zip fastening. Machine wash on a delicate cycle at 30°. Do not tumble dry. Air dry naturally. The foam base and silicone ball filling cannot be washed.

The Cotton Padded Nest Playmat offers the widest choice of colours in the Monio nest range. At approximately 95cm across the inner play area, it is also a larger nest than the Linen and Velvet versions, giving a baby more room to roll and stretch, and the 100% cotton cover has a smooth, soft feel that suits everyday floor play. What the nest shape does that a flat mat cannot is create a defined floor boundary: the raised edge gives a rolling baby a soft border to the play area without any additional setup, though like any playmat it is designed for supervised play. The 30-degree machine-washable cover makes day-to-day maintenance straightforward.

What age is the Cotton Padded Nest Playmat suitable for?

Suitable from birth for supervised floor play. The nest walls give a soft, defined space for tummy time in the newborn months and a padded border once a baby starts to roll. Most families use the mat actively through the sitting and early crawling stages, typically to around 12 to 18 months, and it continues to work as a defined play zone for older toddlers. Always stay with your baby while they are on the mat.

What are the dimensions of the Cotton Playmat?

The inner play area is approximately 95cm in diameter, and the full outer mat measures approximately 115 to 120cm across including the nest walls. The walls stand approximately 12cm high over a 4cm foam base. Allow a clear floor area of about 120 x 120cm.

What is inside the Cotton Playmat?

The Cotton Playmat is built from a 4cm foam base with a layer of silicone ball fill, the same construction as the Linen and Velvet versions. The silicone fill is part of the mat structure and is not removable. The outer cover is 100% cotton and is removable via zip fastening.

How do you wash the Cotton Playmat?

Remove the outer cover using the zip fastening and machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Do not tumble dry. Air dry fully before replacing the cover over the foam base. The foam and silicone fill inner is not washable and should be spot cleaned with a damp cloth if needed.

What is the difference between the Cotton, Linen and Velvet Padded Nest Playmats?

All three share the same construction: a 4cm foam base with silicone ball fill and a raised edge of approximately 12cm, so none is more cushioned than the others. The differences are size and the cover. Cotton is the larger nest, with an inner play area of approximately 95cm and a total diameter of approximately 115 to 120cm; Linen and Velvet both measure approximately 90cm inside and 105cm overall. Cotton offers the widest choice of colours; Linen and Velvet are the choice for a natural woven or a smooth velvet texture.
