Wigiwama Flip Chair

The Wigiwama Flip Chair does two jobs that most children's furniture can only do one of. Folded, it is a compact 65 × 60 × 25 cm seat, a properly proportioned children's flip chair with the GRS and OEKO-TEX certified corduroy and ISO foam that runs through the Wigiwama range. Opened out flat, it becomes a 150 × 60 × 13 cm sleepover mattress that does not require inflating, pumping, or any of the storing that most alternatives demand.

The corduroy cover is wide-wale, made from recycled PET bottles, and carries both OEKO-TEX and GRS certification. The ISO-certified polyurethane foam filling gives the chair its structure in both configurations: firm enough to sit on comfortably in chair form, and supportive enough as a mattress for a child sleeping over. The zip cover removes for hand washing and air drying, and can be lightly ironed on a low heat when needed.

Available in six Corduroy colours: Marshmallow, Pink Mousse, Peppermint Green, Brown Sugar, Blueberry Blue, and Toffee. The Flip Chair is made in Latvia alongside the rest of the Wigiwama collection. It is a considered solution to the question of where a child's overnight guest sleeps, without the room needing to be permanently rearranged to accommodate the answer.

Remove the cover using the zip fastening. Hand wash only. Do not machine wash. Air dry naturally. Iron on a low heat setting if needed. Do not tumble dry, bleach, or dry clean with trichloroethylene. Wipe the foam core with a damp microfibre cloth for daily maintenance.

The chair unfolds from a compact seat into a flat mattress using a simple fold mechanism. No tools, no pump, no inflation required. In chair form it sits at 65 × 60 × 25 cm; fully open it measures 150 × 60 × 13 cm. The ISO-certified foam holds its shape in both positions.

Is the foam comfortable enough to sleep on?

Yes. The ISO-certified polyurethane foam is firm enough to provide proper support as a sleeping surface for children. At 13cm thick when open and 150cm long, it functions as a genuine single sleepover mattress rather than a decorative prop.

What colours and fabric is the Flip Chair available in?

It is available exclusively in wide-wale corduroy, in six colours: Marshmallow, Pink Mousse, Peppermint Green, Brown Sugar, Blueberry Blue, and Toffee. The corduroy is made from recycled PET bottles and carries both OEKO-TEX and GRS certification.

How is the cover cleaned?
